Metro’s Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project will extend light rail transit service from the existing Metro E Line (Expo) at Crenshaw and Exposition Boulevards in Los Angeles, and merge with Metro C Line (Green) at the Aviation/LAX Station on Aviation Boulevard and Interstate 105 in the City of El Segundo. The line will travel 8.5 miles and serve the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood and El Segundo.
E.W. Moon, Inc scope of work was drainage design. Drainage included Metro right-of-way as well as adjacent roadways. Services included (1) review and updating Hydrology and Hydraulics Report prepared by others, (2) estimating discharge Q at points of connection to existing drainage facilities, (3) verifying with drainage facility owners whether proposed Q can be accepted at discharge point, and (4) preparing specifications and preliminary exhibits covering the entire alignment for a Design-Build contract. In addition, Storm Water Data Reports were prepared for Caltrans review for two locations where the Metro alignment crosses State Freeway right of way.
